What records don't tell you

Federal data covers authority, insurance and safety history. It says nothing about the four things below, so ask the operator directly before you book.

01

Insurance for your trip

Ask for a certificate of insurance naming your group as additional insured.

02

The vehicle

Ask the vehicle's year and the date of its last inspection.

03

The driver

Ask how drivers are drug-tested and how their hours are managed.

04

The day itself

Ask who to call if something goes wrong during the trip.

How listings stay current

01

Weekly sync

Every listing is refreshed from FMCSA records once a week.

02

Automatic removal

A listing comes down when authority lapses or the safety rating drops to Unsatisfactory.

03

Reports from you

Flag a listing that looks wrong. We check it against the record, then correct or remove it.
